A one-of-a-kind (7-pce.) hand made, and thoughtfully designed, ensemble for Dianna Effner’s Li’l Dreamers
*Fully lined (with lightweight cotton lawn) holly print dress. All of the raw edges are completely encased between the lining and outer fabric. The traditionally depicted sprays of holly are scattered on an off white ground. A red organza ribbon (held in place with thread belt loops, ends treated to prevent fraying) tied around the waistline and tiny red buttons are on the back. Closes with hand sewn metal snaps. Scalloped cotton English Cluny lace decorates the hemline of the skirt along with two hand made organza bows which are carefully attached with thread.

*Hand knit mohair/silk capelet features a vertical eyelet design and has a mohair/silk fuzzy white band at the bottom. A multitude of holly and mistletoe motifs are hand embroidered in a random pattern within the panels of the capelet. The holly is created with tiny vintage red bugle beads. Capelet closes with an ivory glass pearl and crochet loop.
*The headband ear warmer is a sweet vintage look. It is knit with matching mohair/silk yarn. The ties are made to be different lengths so that when it is tied off to the side the ends are pretty much even. Hand embroidered motifs embellish each side of the ear warmer.
*Evianna’s fingerless mitts keep her hands toasty while she holds her caroling music. They are knit with the mohair/silk and sweetly embroidered with holly. They open with a metal snap (covered with a black button) for ease in dressing.
*Evianna told me that without a doubt she wanted a dark green scarf with beautiful fringe. I made her one with a bit of hand dyed forest green merino/nylon yarn. The fringe is made with all three types of yarn that were used creating this ensemble. One end of the scarf can be casually and artfully tossed over her shoulder.
*Hand dyed ivory cotton spandex tights have an elasticized waist.
*Evianna’s music book is a miniature put together by me. A heart bead dangles from the bookmark to show that this ensemble was made with great care and love.
*Shoes and doll are not included.
