A one-of-a-kind (5-pce.) hand made, and thoughtfully designed, ensemble for Riley and her friends (doll by Helen Kish)

*Hand knit sweater dress made with merino wool in a natural color. Hand embroidered holly and berries motifs are sprinkled in an asymmetrical composition along the right should, waistline, and a slight cascade down the left side. Crystal clear seed beads are sewn on amongst the holly motifs to depict icy crystals (Riley’s wish). A red silk bow is sewn on near the hemline. The edges have been treated to prevent fraying. The dress closes in back with round glass iridescent clear beads sewn on with thread shanks. The buttonholes have been water set.

*Hand knit Santa hat is knit with bright red merino wool (same type as the dress). The fuzzy band is out of mohair/silk. A bright green wool pom pom and gold jingle bell decorate the end of the hat. The tip of the hat has been water set to maintain the nice fall to the right.

*Riley’s red cotton spandex tights have an elasticized waist. I have tested this fabric on Riley for an extended period of time–no red rubbing off on the doll. I also sew with a bright pink thread instead of red. Red sewing thread rubs off on the doll.

*Riley’s snowflake ornament is a purchased miniature. I have added a bow (carefully sewn on to secure) with the yarn used for the Santa hat. A gold metallic thread loop is the ornament hanger and easily slips over Riley’s hand, but it is not too big.

*Riley wears a festive bracelet made with vintage red bugle beads and green seed beads. A tiny gold jingle bell dangles from the bracelet. The bracelet is strung on stretchy jewelry cord.

*Shoes and doll are not included.
