If you’ve been a reader of my blog for awhile you’ve seen my Little Darling named Gina many times. I’ve had her since 2012, so she is 10 years old. Gina is a busy little bee around here. She is always modeling or trying on new wigs, etc. And, I noticed that she was starting to get a little tired.
Geri Uribe, who brought Gina to life in 2012, graciously agreed to give Gina the spa treatment she desperately needed.
Below is Gina’s before photo. Although as cute as ever, you can see her lip color is starting to wear off and her eyes have lost their gloss.
And, this is her after. Her eyes are shining again and her lips have a beautiful rosy color. Geri also blushed her cheeks and body, and gave her a mani/pedi. Isn’t she beautiful?

Not sure how your north Chicago, weather has been, but we are in for an extreme heat wave starting Saturday through Tuesday. I saw 107, but it could be higher, and it isn’t like it is only for a couple of days, but prolonged. Here, because we are near the coast, after a couple of days of heat, the fog rolls in and cools us off, but not any more. It is going to be brutal as we don’t have air conditioning. Many like us, have never needed it in the past, but with global warming, looks like we may have to think about adding it. The heat is also going to put a strain on our power grid. They are asking people to set their air over 70. Ha ha. I gladly would if I could. 🙂

Our weather has been warm to very warm with some rainy days mixed in. All in all a great summer. Don’t worry–I’m sure we’ll be paying for this in January through April!
I am so sorry you have to go through such horrible weather yet again. I can’t imagine 80 degrees without the a/c on much less 107. I think I’d go into our yucky basement and never come out.
I hope your stores and libraries have a/c at least? That won’t help for sleeping though. Oh, boy! I feel for you. I hope they are wrong! Take care of yourself, Joy. I’ll be thinking of you…🥵

Hello Cindy I hope you are doing well happy September to you! This morning is beautiful here with the sun shining but it is supposed to get hotter later . But the weekend will cool down to the low ’80s and seventies. Gina definitely is one of my favorite girls! I know how busy she is so it is nice that she is after getting a beautiful makeover she looks amazing ❤️ Geri did a great job!
