New Summertime Dolly Things

Just completed is a new dress for Amelia Thimble and a dress ensemble for the Little Darlings.  Amelia’s dress is hand knit and embroidered with strawberries and strawberry blossoms which are perfect for this time of year.  The strawberries are oyster stitches and the blossom centers are colonial knots, two new stitches that I learned from Mary Corbet’s Needle ‘n Thread.  Her stitch tutorials make it so easy to learn new stitches.  Thank you, Mary.

The Little Darlings dress ensemble is truly fit for a princess and is filled with sweet surprises and girly colors.

Both are available for sale on my website.

Just finished for Tonner’s Patsy Doll

Here are some sneak peaks of Patsy’s new outfit.  In keeping with Patsy’s 1920’s style, this very feminine and colorful outfit has lots of hand embroidered details.  Flower motifs to coordinate with the cotton Japanese print line up along the hemline.    Each one is unique.  Chain stitch embroidery and running stitch embroidery are more hand embroidered elements of this dress.  The hand knit cotton bolero has a turned back collar with embroidered roses and light blue scalloped edging.  Patsy’s hat is decorated with chain stitch embroidery along the edge and a crocheted flower and knit bow.  I’d say Patsy is all ready for her next spring weekend adventure.
