What a Difference 10 Days Make, Part 2

What happens when you don’t listen to the weather forecast for days?  Surprises that’s what and not the kind that make me smile.  The first words out of my mouth as I was pushing back the curtains in my bedroom were, “Oh, no!!!!!!!”  Who would’ve thought?  The crocuses were blooming so nicely.  It’s been gradually warming up.  Spring arrived two days ago.  The street cleaner came by on Saturday to clean the gravel off the sides of the road.  Who would’ve thought?  All these positive springlike things were taking place.  Snow was not on my radar except maybe to see it in December, which is 9 months from now.  But, Mother Nature likes to surprise us, doesn’t she?

Once again, here is the view out my studio window.

I think it is supposed to snow all morning long and it will stay cold so will not melt right away.  Someone please give me some springlike news.  I feel like I just fell down the rabbit hole.

What a Difference 10 Days Make!

This first photo was taken on March 3, exactly 10 days ago.  We were in the midst of a snowstorm.  I’ll admit it was very pretty at the time.  But…

look at it now.  We’re heading towards 60 degrees today.  SO, SO happy!  I feel like I am in a foreign land after so many days of very cold temps.march melt 869There’s still some snow hanging around, but barely.  It really feels like spring is on the way.  🙂

This is now my view outside my sewing room window.  Our swimming pool is still looking quite icy cold, but at least we can see it.

In the last day or so the snow has melted and left behind the very first signs of spring, crocuses and daffodils starting to grow into their spring “gloriousness” .

Hope you’re starting to see the beginnings of spring too.

On a Roll

I’ve been so busy starting projects in the last week or so with nothing really getting finished.  In the end, I think more projects get finished this way, but the time in between the “starting and finishing” stages seems to go on and on…  and on.

Well, yesterday brought me to the “finished” stage on a few new ensembles and today I am finishing up another small set for Amelia Thimble.  Then, lots of pictures need to be taken.

I don’t want to leave you with a picture-less post so here are Gina, Amelia, and Patience waiting for the photo shoot to begin.
