This first photo was taken on March 3, exactly 10 days ago. We were in the midst of a snowstorm. I’ll admit it was very pretty at the time. But…
look at it now. We’re heading towards 60 degrees today. SO, SO happy! I feel like I am in a foreign land after so many days of very cold temps. There’s still some snow hanging around, but barely. It really feels like spring is on the way. 🙂
This is now my view outside my sewing room window. Our swimming pool is still looking quite icy cold, but at least we can see it.
In the last day or so the snow has melted and left behind the very first signs of spring, crocuses and daffodils starting to grow into their spring “gloriousness” .
Hope you’re starting to see the beginnings of spring too.
What a heartwarming site to see flowers reaching for their cheeks to feel the sun!
Hi Pennie. Spring is definitely here. It seemed like we went to sleep on the 5th of March (with -20 morning wind chills that week) and woke to spring on the 6th. Those wind chills seem like a distant memory already. Have a great week!
That’s quite amazing really and those little plants starting to bravely show their faces!!! I like your pool there and how it’s set into the deck, it looks great….although more of an ice skating rink at the moment! Spring sprung here a couple of weeks ago and hopefully summer will follow shortly, spring doesn’t last so long here, but we do have a very very long hot summer….my favourite time of year 🙂
Hugs Sharon in Spain x
Hi Sharon. We enjoy the pool although I mostly like looking at the cool water as I’m sewing. I love to create little dolly things more than I love to swim, I guess. Is your summer climate humid or dry, and how hot does it typically get?
Hope you see your poor Ellie soon!!! Hopefully this is the week.
HI Cindy,
I’m hoping the rest of your snow got melted off today! We had a very pretty day here and it even reached into the 70’s. I think we have rain coming on Wednesday and then I heard the weather man talking about it being cold again.. please let him be wrong.
I bet you’ve been busy making sweet little Easter things, haven’t you? I’ve had my hubby’s birthday today, we have to go see the tax guy tomorrow, so I’ve been working like crazy trying to get all that together, then the pastor and staff want to take George and me out on Wednesday for his birthday, and I have an eye appointment on Friday. I have some time in each of those days, but it’s too busy to suit me.
Well, sorry, I didn’t mean to ramble on like that…
Blessings, Jeanne
It sounds like you have a busy week, Jeanne! I know, I don’t like having a week filled with appointments either. It takes away from creative time. I’ve got to get my numbers all added up too. Hate tax time! Would you believe I started college as an accounting major? Ha Ha. I hope you can carve bits out of each day with some creative productivity. Sometimes I get more done like that for me because I know that’s all I get and there’s not a second to waste. BTW, it’s nice to hear your ramblings.
It’s cold again this morning, in the 30’s. 😦 Yesterday we got into the 60’s with a cloudy day until the late afternoon when the sun came out.
