Firstly, thank you to all who commented and read my last post “Too Many…Dolls”! I read each and every comment thoughtfully and you all have helped me start this process, so thank you so much.
I started with making a (tentative) list of those dolls that I think I would like to sell. Maybe I will add more later and maybe some of these I will keep, not sure yet. It will be a continual process, I think. Yesterday evening I took photos of my first two dolls that I know I would like to go to new homes and even got one listed on eBay.
I added an eBay link in the right column. You can click on the photo and go right to my eBay “for sale” page.
It feels GREAT to make a start!
If you’d like to see Ann’s eBay listing, click on her photo in the right column. Sorry, but I am only shipping within the US.
Now, I would like to get a bit of sewing done today.
I hope all of you have a wonderful and productive Monday!
Good luck Cindy, in all your sales!
Hello, Sonia, and thanks. I will be very happy if my dolls can find good homes where they will be appreciated.
I think that little blonde doll you showed is just adorable with her glasses on. Make her a dress and sweater like you do and she will be the highlight for a lucky girl at Christmastime. She sure will sell fast.
That is a great idea, Patricia! Unfortunately Ann already has bids on her. Maybe her new mom will make beautiful things for her to wear.
You know what ‘they’ say, Cindy, the longest journey starts with a single step….or something like that! lol My collection never gets large because when I tire of sewing for a doll I sell her (usually) so that I can afford the new one I want. I have to admit, though, that even though I’ve never considered myself a collector, there are a few dolls that have hung around over the years. My Ann Estelles and my first Tonner Patsy I kept though I sold my Rileys. And I once sold an Ellowyne “Plaid to Meet You” that I immediately wanted back and still wish I had her, so take your time.
Thanks for the advice, Jevne. I am so sorry you sold a doll that you were sorry about. 😦 I think I only enjoy (most) dolls when I am creating for them too. And, since I don’t like collecting what I make, I only create outfits for dolls that others are looking for.
I find it’s always hard to let go, but I to, am going through this process.

Hi Judi. Maybe we can all support this difficult task together. 🙂 Thanks for your comment.
