If you read my post from yesterday, you know that I want to start sharing the talents God has blessed me with. And, I mentioned how a few ideas have started trickling in.
The first idea I have is to publish a couple of knitting patterns. I used to publish cross stitch patterns, so pattern publishing is not new for me, but writing knitting patterns is something new, so it’s exciting and a bit scary at the same time.
These will be simple patterns, but lengthy and wordy with lots of photos to show you all the steps involved. My hope is that anyone who knows the basic stitches will be able to complete my patterns.
Before I begin this process, I’d like to know if it is something you’d like. If there is enough interest I will go forward, and if not, I will look for another way to share. If you would be interested in possibly purchasing one of my knitting patterns, would you please comment as to which doll, what type of garment or accessory, and if you have yarn weight or type preference? Yes! I would be interested. Most of the items are make are AG size. I’ve used yarn from fingering to worsted weight on my projects. I don’t sell anything. I either give it as a gift or donate it for charity purposes. Simple projects would be best for me so then I can give/donate more items. Thank you!

I would love to have knitting or patterns for Amelia Thimble and (I know you haven’t done much or any) my biggest love is Blythe. Either the Pure Neemo small size body or the standard Blythe body. I also have quite a few of the Soom IMDA 3.0 which are close to YOSD size. I would love to see your tutorials, I just know your attention to details is fantastic! Excited!

Well, since my Little Darling is going to be started in just two weeks (Yay!), her size or the 10er Ann Estelle group would be my pattern choice. Of course Penny and others may be offended. I think a basic cardigan sweater would be my first choice for a pattern as it would go with a dress, skirt, or pants. I like the fine yarn too as it seems to fit with their size. With your directions, perhaps I can really do knitting. 🙂

I hope you can make a sweater too. Actually, I KNOW you can! I’ll have lots of photos and walk you through the entire pattern. I have the hardest time with patterns. I cannot get a picture in my head of what I am doing by simply reading the words and abbreviations, and I need that. I also wonder do they mean this or that?

Definitely a cardigan pattern in fingering weight for AG dolls. And your little dress and cardigan for the AG minis. And the hats. We can never have too many hats.

I would definitely buy one of your knitting patterns for Little Darling or 10 inch dolls. I would love to be able to make a sweater with buttons. I can only make a simple sweater with no buttons. I don’t plan on selling anything. I can barely make them for myself! Londa

I just recently came across your blog. Love it. I haven’t knitted for dolls but I would like to knit for American Girl and I am going to look for those small dolls that you dress. They are just adorable.

My favorites at the moment are Kish Riley, and Amelia Thimble by Tonner. I also love Patsy. There are so many Good AG patterns and tutorials, I think the dolls you show on your blog are best.

I, too, would love patterns from you! This is my first time commenting, I found your blog through Jeanne Marie. Your outfits are always so beautiful! I love to see your designs, but have not bought any, they always sell so quickly! I have a LD (along with 2 more ordered from Magalie), along with all sizes of Kaye Wiggs from Nelly to Millie.
I am a beginner knitter, so hopefully the patterns will start out simple. 🙂
