Hi there! I hope this week is going good for you. It’s going fine over here. I think we are on day #8, and the last day, of really warm November weather. It has been nice, but it is starting to feel a little bit weird. I hate to say this, but I am looking forward to more seasonal temperatures. Remind me I said this when I am complaining about the cold. 🙄
Sunday night I finished up *gasp* a knitting pattern! It’s been so long–I’ve been way too lazy, sorry if you’ve been waiting for more. I have ideas, but it is SO much work putting the designs onto paper, or virtual paper I should say. It’s hard getting into pattern writing mode, but when the pattern is done I am very happy it’s out there for you.
Over the years I have been asked to put my ear flap hat into pattern form. It’s specifically designed for the Little Darlings who wear a 7″-8″ wig, but this should fit other dolls with the same sized head.
The Ear Flap Hat pattern is different from my last ones in that it includes a video link to illustrate steps where visuals could help make the steps clearer. I am a visual learner–I know many of us are; I am hoping this video is quite helpful. There are clickable time stamps in the video’s description so that you can click and go to the exact place in the video that you need to go to–no jumping around randomly.
Now that this pattern sample is made I must get the rest of this outfit created. What are you working on this week?
Alice and I are sending you a virtual hug. 🤗 Stay safe. 💛
A bit late replying to your latest update. I have been busy in my garden, enjoying our beautiful spring weather. I have also been busy in my craft room making some Christmas ornaments.
I have just received notification that my “Little Darling” is about to be created for me. A Christmas present to myself. I am looking forward to creating her outfit. I purchased my ear flap hat, knitting instructions today and I look forward to creating one soon.
All the best to you and your family
Hi, Wendy! It’s so nice to hear from you. Oh, I love springtime. You must be having so much fun watching all the surprises start to grow in the garden.
What fun to make Christmas ornaments! I haven’t done that in years, but I have fond memories of doing that.
I’d love to see a pic of your LD when she arrives. I am sure she will be beautiful!
Thank you for purchasing my new pattern. I hope you enjoy knitting the hat.
Enjoy your springtime! Can’t wait for ours to begin… gotta get through winter first though.
Thank you for writing, Wendy! ❤
Hello Cindy how are you? I remember thinking the exact same thing as you of the warm weather that we also had, I was waiting for the temperatures to get more seasonal also. I am sure it is a lot of work putting your ideas onto paper. Sometimes we just need motivation to do what we have to do! Sending hugs back to both Alice and you, happy first Sunday of Advent, Terri xo
Hi, Terri. I am well, thank you. About those temps–today 18 degree wind chill–sooo cold! So glad we got the tree cut down on Saturday.
I’m sure that I could be slower than most in getting stuff done, but I try and get out what I can. Making any kind of progress feels good.
Happy first week of advent to you too, Terri! Enjoy this time of year. I think it’s the most special time–so magical. Hugs to you, ❤
18 degrees and wind chill is not fun Cindy ! Today it is 16 degrees here but there is no wind . I’m glad you got your tree! You should go at the pace that makes you feel comfortable Cindy . Our lives do get busy. It is a very special time of year Cindy , Jesus And celebrating him with family Are the best part . Sending hugs Back to you ,Terri xoxo.
You are right, Terri. This is the most wonderful time of the year–I think so anyway. 💚
