Starting the Weekend Off Early

I got up early this morning to finish knitting a sweater dress and surprisingly caught sight of the beautiful sunrise.

sunrise 300I guess I needed a little break from Christmas colors because I picked up this ball of hot pink wool a couple of days ago.  I am almost finished, a few more rows to go.  This is for the Little Darlings and it is the same style as the winter white sweater dress I just showed you yesterday in the group shot (minus the “fur” trim).

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  We’re waking up to a wet and dark Halloween.  Hopefully it will improve; they say it it will.

Last year trick or treating was during a rainstorm and the temperature was in the 30s (brrr) and very, very few children came around, maybe three.  Really, who could blame them, wet AND cold!  My husband had lots and lots of candy bars to munch on until Christmas;   I’m sure he didn’t mind.

In honor of Halloween I have collected past photos of my girls dressed for the occasion.

Hope you have crisp, fall weather for the trick-or-treaters!  Enjoy the day!  Bye for now.

Our “Tiny Holly Helper”

Little Fairyland’s Pukipuki Sugar is here to help with the holiday preparations in any way that she is able, even if it’s just standing around looking cute.  BTW, she does that really well, don’t you thin?

tiny holly helper b 668Her Christmas set is knit with hand dyed merino lace weight yarn.  It photographed brighter and pinker than it actually is, it is a muted berry color.  The “fur” trim is knit with mohair/silk lace yarn.  I attached little strips of magnets to the back side of the plastic holly charm, so Sugar can hold on to it.
