A “Happy Day to You”

This is what I am wishing to all of you today.  A day filled with no worries, sunshine, and all good things.  Don’t we all need a day like this?

I made this last ensemble for the Little Darlings just because… just because the multi colored polka dots made me happy.  The happy feeling I got from these polka dots set the theme for this ensemble.  Of course Lucy, with her big smile, got to model this one.

Aren’t these the prettiest colored polka dots!

Lucy’s prettily colored lace shrug is hand knit with Peruvian Highland wool in a color called Lady Slipper.  The magenta ruffly edging is made with magenta mohair/silk lace.  Both of these colors are found in the polka dots.

Rosy colored satin ribbon and a pearl necklace add more pink to this happy ensemble.

Lucy is holding a tiny hand made banner to remind us all to be happy, just in case we forget.

Lucy is ready to spread the joy.  Who’s ready for a “happy day” party?

“Happy Day to You” ensemble will be available tonight (April 5, 2016 at 7:00 pm, CST) on my “Shop What’s New” page at cindyricedesigns.com.

Lucy is very adorable with her beautiful ensemble! I love multi colores polka dots too!
Here, it rains since 3 days and it’s relatively cold for the season!
The trees in bloom and my tulips are superb, but the weather is too bad to admire them in the garden!
    Have a good day!
    Friendly yours, Catherine

      Hi Catherine,
Thank you for your compliments on Lucy in her new ensemble. We need all of the happy color we can get here too. We had a rare sunny day today, but it is still very cold. Hope it gets springlike soon!

Can really use a happy day party today. Lucy is adorable in your new creation. Just sweet and smiley.
Didn’t know if you were aware, but little Penny can wear Monchhichi shoes. I ordered her a pair even though my little one won’t arrive until August/September. Are your white Penny shoes Boneka? What size? Still have to decide on a wig too. Have lots of time for that.
Having a hot streak here. 85 today and 90 tomorrow. Then back down to the 60’s and rain. Crazy weather.

      Hi Joy,
We need happy too; it’s been so cold and mostly cloudy every day with the exception of today. It sure was nice to see the sun, but I froze when out for my walk. It looked a LOT warmer than it actually was out there!

Thanks for the info. on the Monchhichi shoes. Linda Macario had given me sizes of Boneka shoes for Penny. I bought the size she recommended, but they are too small with the tights I make; those seams take up a lot of space. Luckily, I bought the next size up too, which fit fine. The larger size that works with my tights are the 45×23. I have the white Mary Jane’s and ecru boots. The size Linda recommended were the 42×22; they probably work with the very fine tights that don’t have a seam or bare feet. Penny does need a 7-8 sized wig; I noticed they had a 6-7 listed with Penny on the website. Millie’s 6-7 wigs don’t fit at all.

Yay! Now I can get somewhere. Can’t thank you enough for the exact measurements for Penny. So confusing for the wig/shoe challenged.
We’re bracing for 90 tomorrow. Not ready for that yet. Had to water my favorite plants today. Ever so slightly. Drought continues. As another note, one of the earthquake faults runs about under our house. Go figure….
