Which Photo Came First?

I took these first two photos today.  Can you tell which one I took first?  Look closely… it seems obvious, but it’s not what you think.

Which one did you guess?

Here’s a close up photo of the sweater (the little pink one in front) that I embroidered a couple of days ago.  Do you see anything wrong with it?  I don’t think that I was having a very good day when I worked on it and didn’t notice how far off the sides were from mirroring each other.  I realize that hand made things aren’t going to be 100% perfect, but the more I looked at this sweater the more I knew I had to redo one of the sides; one motif took up a LOT more space than the other side took up.

So, the less compact motif is already ripped out, and I think I will be doing coordinating motifs, not mirrored motifs, on this sweater.  I am thinking two smaller motifs to balance the larger one.

You’ve already figured it out by now… the second photo is the first one taken.

I hope you all have a great weekend!  We are in for a very springlike weekend– yay!

Bye for now.

      Hi Renee,
Thank you so much. I tried to tell myself that this embroidery was fine, but it never stopped bothering me. I knew I wouldn’t be proud of it, so it had to come out. Sometimes that happens; it’s all part of the process I guess.

It’s so much fun to see all your pretty little girls dressed for spring. The colors of this season are among some of my favorite! Have a lovely weekend, Cindy.

Cindy, isn’t funny how we are our own worst critics. I do agree, handmade items can vary slightly and that is was makes them one of a kind. 🙂

    Your handiwork is impeccable.

I must say you ARE a perfectionist but I agree with you, once I notice something disturbing for me no matter what other people can say or think I have to do something about it.

Hi. Exactly! And, it never gets better, even if I look at it for a day or two. It continues to bother me. I should rip it out right away and get it over with. It will be worth the effort though. Thank you.

What a pity to have ripped out this beautiful work! You are perfectionist!

      Hi Catherine,
I tried to fight the ripping out, but it didn’t work. I will like it better, so it will be worth it. Hope the rain has stopped in France and you get a beautiful Sunday. Thank you!

Little smiley likes the sweater either way! Me too. I don’t know how you can do that opposite embroidery. I would get so lost trying to match the other side. 😦
Weather here is perfect, sunny, not too warm. Almost done with the laundry. All is good.

    Hi Joy,
I love the name you gave my Lucy, Little smiley. Lucy isn’t picky, but I am somewhat. It’s no fun ripping, but it would always bother me and I would never like the outfit, So, out it came…

We’re finally have spring weather here. It is so nice! And, not one piece of my laundry is done, ugh. It’s a busy weekend.
