Of all the seasons the beginning of autumn brings the most excitement for me. It is a cozy season with comforting flavors and scents. Just thinking about autumn brings to mind pumpkin, cinnamon, and apples! It seems like autumn is all about the food! Well, not all, but a big part. Do you have a favorite autumnal flavor or scent?
Poor Bethany has been squirming around in her case lately. She’s getting restless and wants to do a little modeling for you. She told me her vacation has gone on far too long, and she is right. Who goes on vacation for 3+ years! I could not say no to this cutie, and so, I made her an ensemble to help welcome the fall season.
When I was picking sweater yarn for this ensemble, I wanted the sweater to look like an effortless addition, not a “matchy match”. I decided on an almond color that brings out the beautiful colors in the dress. I then focused on the peachy pink background in the fabric and added the crocheted beret and purse. The tights are a very pastel version of this shade also.

Thank you, Celia. I am sure you are happy about cooler weather arriving; GA is much warmer than northern Illinois, although it has been quite warm here this summer.
Oh Cindy, I just love that taupe/blush pink combination! How tall is Bethany? I mentioned that I am now the proud owner of a “Gina” but she is the smaller size, 10″ and I am wondering if any of the ensembles might fit her?
Hi Wendi. Bethany is 12″ tall. I don’t think their clothing is interchangeable. I love the 10″ Bonekas. They make such a cute little sister to the Little Darlings. Maybe I should look for one . . . hmm. I haven’t gotten a new doll for a few months. lol

Hi Joy. You noticed! That is why I chose this fabric for Bethany. The blue matched her eyes and the terracotta/peachy pinks matched her lips and cheeks. You need to get busy on something for your girl now. Did I inspire you to get sewing???
Yes, I want to get back to it. But, still refilling the doll room/guest room. Daughter and kiddies 1,3, and 5 1/2 coming next week. Must shovel and hide a lot before then. Really wish I had that adorable outfit for Bethany. So cute! Loved it. Won a new pattern from Wren Feathers today. Will probably fit my LD when ever she arrives. Besides the room clean up, we are working on restaining the decks. Other person who lives here is building a railing (Yay after years of not having the end one) and I am supposed to washdown and scrub to prepare for new stain. Easier than it sounds. Done it before, can do it again. 🙂
