Hello to you! I hope you’ve had a beautiful week. It’s been pretty nice here in northern Illinois. Spring is well underway.
Last Friday I paid a visit to the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Springtime is so lovely at the gardens. Last year it was closed during the spring due to the pandemic. This year I, and many others, had the opportunity to see the daffodils, tulips, violas, buttercups, rhododendrons, and flowering trees of all kinds in bloom. I walked around the Landscape Garden to check on the status of my favorite–Convallaria majalis or lily of the valley. The plants were still mostly leaves with some little buds starting to emerge.
This past week I finished an ensemble for my Little Darling, Gina. Gina is enjoying her own floral wonders dressed in pink roses and a ‘light as air’ mohair embroidered cardigan.

It is a beautiful day here in Minnesota Cindy at 6:33am! The sun is coming up and it is supposed to be warm . The last few days were nice too. How nice the gardens were open this year to see all the beautiful flowers popping up. Lily of the valley is so pretty! Gina is adorable in her lovely floral print dress and mohair cardigan. It is such a joy watching you sew ! You make it look so easy, The botanical gardens are greening and blossoming nicely! What a great capture of the deer at the end ! We have a family get together today and . Tomorrow our son receives First communion . So it will be a nice weekend for us. Thanks for sharing, hugs to you too, Terri xo.
Hi, Terri. So happy to hear you’re having beautiful weather. Today was very warm here too, but so, so windy. Yes, it is nice the gardens are open this year. I really missed going there last year… and missed seeing the lily of the valley especially. Gina says “thank you”, and I say thanks so much for watching my video. I hope your son’s first communion day is beautiful. It sure is a special day for him. ❤️
