Hi there! I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the season leading up to the year-end holidays. This time of year goes so fast for me! I am making a conscious effort to savor these cozy fall days, although the time is still flying by.
Towards the end of August I began creating my holiday ensembles. My petite (10″ tall) Boneka doll named Rose received my first holiday ensemble for 2021 and she’s been waiting for months to show you her festive outfit.

We haven’t gotten any snow yet here in northern Illinois. Having just recently gotten our first frost it still seems too warm for snow, but Rose is ready for the first snowflakes.
Rose is wearing a cuddly mohair sweater and headband ear warmer. I embroidered some berries and pine boughs on the yoke. Tiny gold jingle bells adorn the tie ends of her ear warmer.
Her dress features the tiniest snowmen and pine trees with a border of delicate cotton lace around the hemline. She wears tights in a fun kelly green and around her wrist is a jingle bell bracelet.
Rose is absolutely smitten with her tiny needle felted snowman. I think the hopes of me making one for her may be the reason she picked out this snowman fabric for her dress. lol What do you think?
Rose is a precious one, isn’t she?
What are you up to this fall, or is it spring by you? I’d love to hear from you! ❤️ Sending you hugs from Rose and I. 🤗
Love Rose’s outfit. So perfect for her with those cute little additions. 🙂
I made quite a few things for Halloween for my Ruby Red Fashion Friends kids, so guess it is on to the jolly holidays. Thanksgiving will be here in the blink of an eye as well.
We’ve gotten some actual rain here in northern CA. Not enough yet to make a dent in the drought, but nice not to have to water the plants for a change.
Love seeing your posts. 🙂
Hi, Joy! Thank you! Rose seems to be quite happy with her new holiday ensemble. It sounds like you have a lucky bunch of RRFF dolls. Yes, on to the next holiday for dressing the crew… It’s crazy how soon Thanksgiving will be here. I already feel the pressure because once Thanksgiving is here it is no time at all before it’s Christmas.
Glad you are getting some rain. That has to feel good not continually worrying about that. Enjoy the week ahead–thank you for visiting and writing, Joy. ❤️ It’s so nice to hear from you!
love love love the outfit!
Thank you so much, Susan!!! ❤️ Have a great week.

Bonjour Fanfan.

Hello, Fanfan. I am happy you like Rose’s new Christmas ensemble. I love her! She is a sweetie.
It sounds so peaceful and cozy where you live. The leaves have been falling here too. It is mesmerizing to watch them float to the ground. Soon the gardens will be asleep until next year. Enjoy the beautiful autumn weather.
Thank you for stopping by, Fanfan. I’ve enjoyed chatting with you. ❤️

Hello, Marie and thank you! I enjoyed making this outfit for Rose very much and she is appreciative. 😉
Thank you for sharing what autumn is like by you. Not too different from us two weeks ago. Now the flowers have died from the frost this past week. And now we are awaiting our first snow sometime soon I am sure.
Enjoy the upcoming week, Marie. Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
Nice to hear from you again with another lovely outfit. I’ve been wondering lately if you will ever do a pattern for the little crochet hats you do? Looking forward to hearing more from you as you get ready for Christmas!
Hi. Thank you! I have Talyssa all ready to show you her new Christmas ensemble.
I don’t think I am going to write any crochet patterns. I don’t have much experience reading crochet patterns, and therefore would probably not do it right. I’m afraid it would end up being confusing. Sorry about that.
I appreciate you stopping by and chatting with you. Enjoy the week ahead. ❤️
Beautiful !!!
Thank you so much, Johann. ❤️ Have a great week.
I think Rose is a very lucky girl. As for the weather here in Maryland, well it’s unseasonably warm. Can’t wait to see some of your other creations. Marian
Hi, Marian! I think of Rose as my miniature Little Darling. She is very fun to dress and always has the sweetest expression.
It sounds like summer doesn’t want to leave by you. We’ve had a beautiful weekend, but I heard snow flurries mentioned on the forecast for next weekend. We’ll see…
Thank you for stopping by, Marian. It’s always nice to hear from you. ❤️
Hi Cindy, we do need to savor these fall days when we can ! We both know what comes next ! I can see why Rose was so keen to show us her ensemble ! She is gorgeous ! Mohair sweaters are the best and I love the embroidery on hers. The ear warmer is so cute around her head. She can jingle as she moves. I am sure when she seen the fabric she had to have the snowmen adorn her dress. The background color is perfect for the snowmen to be front and center. I always like the lace hemlines to finish your dresses off. The tights are a lovely addition . Rose is a precious girl for sure and I can see how proud she is of you for giving her such a fabulous look. We are trying to complete some projects at our new house . We have a bedroom and bathroom to make in the basement and are just starting it. I hope you get a chance to look back at some of my posts. Sending sweet hugs back to you and Rose, Terri xo.
Hi, Terri. Thank you for stopping by and commenting and complementing Rose and I. Rose is much appreciative of all the attention. lol
We definitely DO know what comes next weather-wise. We may be seeing those icy flakes sooner than later–maybe later on this week! It seems too early, but it isn’t.
You really are keeping busy with your new house. What a project you have planned. You are lucky you don’t need to hire anyone to do the work. You’ll have everything done just the way you want it. Looking forward to seeing photos…
I hope your week is progressing nicely, Terri.
❤️
oh my I hope we dont get too many flakes Cindy !! We are kept bust in the house , It is good to have a handyman right here at home !! I am helping too! I will try and get pics up as the job progresses, Happy Wednesday, hugs to you and all the girls, Terri xo.
Good morning Cindy.
Rose looks so cute in her Christmas clothes. Mohair is one if my favourite yarns to use.
We have been getting good spring rains so I have been spending a lot of time out in the garden. It won’t be long before I can enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) if my labour.
I have been spending some of my leisure time knitting for Little Grace and soon to arrive, Little Daisy. I have completed 2 sets each of your sweater dress, beret and pinafore jumper patterns. I now have to complete the embroidery/embellishments etc. I am also waiting on some accessories to arrive from the USA.
My next job is to sew the girls Christmas dresses. The cardigans have been knitted.
I will also be sewing a Christmas dress for my twin sister’s childhood 20” doll. She loves to have the doll as part of her Christmas display.
Take care
Wendy💝💐
Hello, Wendy. Thank you! The dolls look so cute in fuzzy sweaters. Mohair is so pretty–wish I could wear it. I’d be so, so uncomfortable! Not one of my dolls has a problem with it though. lol
Yay for spring rains! I’m glad your having a nice spring. I’ll bet your gardens are looking beautiful and will be even more beautiful once fully in bloom, and delicious too.
You have been busy knitting for your Little Darlings! They are lucky girls. I hope Little Daisy (such a cute name!) arrives soon.
Your sister is lucky to have you make something for her childhood doll. She will look sweet, I am sure! Christmas is the best time for displaying dolls.
Enjoy the rest of your week, Wendy. ❤️🤗
Hi Cindy! I look forward to your Christmas dolls every year with all their tiny details. The colors get me in the mood for Christmas every year. I see all the hard work that has propelled you to the lovely creations you make today. Beautiful!
Hi, Heather. Thank you for following along and stopping to chat! I am really happy with how many Christmas sets I am completing this year–still a few more to go too. It was great chatting with you, Heather! ❤️
