Our warmer than normal temperatures have gotten me thinking of spring already. And I’m afraid it’s affected what I feel like creating. I am so sorry to all of you winter lovers out there. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get back to winter things; I have spring fever early this year!
On Wednesday we did get a light dusting of wintry snow, but I must admit that when I took the dog out Thursday morning there was that springlike smell in the air—the smell that comes with an April snowfall, not one that happens in January. I am not the only one fooled—my crocuses have started popping up already.
My Little Darling, Alice, is feeling the fever too. We both know that roses growing in the garden are indeed just around the corner. Meanwhile we’d like you to enjoy the roses from my studio.
“Around the Corner are Roses” will be available tonight (January 27, 2017) at 7:00 pm CST, cindyricedesigns.com.
Alice looks dreamy in roses! Her eyes sparkle. Adorable sweet outfit.
We have had a few bulbs in bloom also. Seems odd as it has been so cold/frosty mornings. No rain for a few days. Yay.
Thank you, Joy! You actually have bulbs blooming already? Wow, that’s CA for you, lucky girl you are. I hope the rain stays away for a long time, and that it’s sunny CA for many, many days in a row. Have a great week, Joy!
I would love that spring is near here too! But we still have a lot of snow and during two weeks, we had freezing temperatures (-11°C to -16°C).
Your little Alice is really beautiful with her new ensemble!
I hope you are well!
I wish you a wonderful week-end!
Catherine
Hi Catherine and thank you. It’s getting colder again here too, but not terribly so. It’s been right around freezing, so we have been warmer than you. Anyway, it’s nice that the coldest month is almost over and we are getting closer to spring. Yay! Have a great week, Catherine!
Another beauty! Available?

Yes, Cathy! 🙂
Love that sweater Cindy. I wanted to ask you if your baret pattern will fit the 10 inch Patsy. Londa
Thanks, Londa. Hmm, not sure. Patsy’s head is a little smaller. The finished beret’s band measurement is 8-1/2”. From the bottom of the band, up and over the top, down to the other bottom of band is 6-1/4”. I’m sure it would be roomier, but don’t have one here to check to see how much roomier.
Thanks for letting me know Cindy. Londa
