Some Hugs

…from dear, sweet, Patience.

It’s been a while since my Patience has been featured in a post and I was starting to feel bad.  Am I a bad doll mom?  Maybe…ugh…okay, okay, no more guilt.

Here she is…

…in all of her whimsical cuteness!

I think this ensemble matches Patience’s personality perfectly, don’t you?  The sunny and warm cotton print features lots and lots of different heart motifs and little lovey dovey birdies, such fun to look at, if you can take your eyes off of her cute face, that is.

Patience’s dress looks pretty without the cardigan too.

You won’t see too many of my crocheted pieces with embroidery. For me, embroidering on crochet is touch and go because the crocheted fabric is “bumpy” and it’s hard to get the stitches to lay on top of the fabric. However, when the pieces work out, like this headband, I really like the look.

Things Are Looking “Love-ly” Around the Studio

Hearts…and roses…and chocolate (yum)…and everything pink and red…

You know the day…Valentine’s Day, and it’s fast approaching.

Ever since I finished up Christmas and winter outfits for the girls I’ve been surrounded by pink and red fabric, yarn, embroidery thread, beads, and all kinds of heart motifs.  I love these pretty things in the middle of winter.

My Kaye Wiggs Millie is here to show you her brand new embroidered sweater dress, striped tights, pink hair bow, and bracelet set.  The creation of this outfit actually started with the striped tights which left Millie sitting around wearing not much else until the sweater dress was finished.  The poor girl got a bit chilly, I think, but she didn’t complain.

The dress is hand knit in natural Peruvian Highland wool and embroidered with pink/red bullion stitched roses and rosebuds, two kinds of sky blue beads, and a delicate strand of neutral green thread for the leaves and stems.  Millie has a rosy pink knitted headband that ties in a bow to hold back her long, beautiful blonde locks.  A pink bugle bead bracelet with a heart and rose dangling from it complete this outfit.

Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

I do. I do.  And my Little Darling, Gina, does too.

While we are waiting for the snow to fall Gina has a new ensemble to show you.  This little snowmen printed dress is helping us get into the snowman building spirit.  Look at all of those adorable snowmen!  To go with her snowmen dress are hand knitted accessories.  A capelet, Santa hat, duo of scarves, mitts, and boot toppers keep Gina all warm and toasty.
