“Frosty Festivities”

Hello everyone!  It looks like I picked the perfect day to start my Christmas/holiday doll ensemble release.  It’s cold and frosty here in northern Illinois which makes me feel quite festive on this morning.  We even had snow flurries yesterday, and the sky looks like it could send us some more today.

Since my 10″ Boneka sculpted by Dianna Effner doll, Rose, is the new girl it seemed appropriate that she should kick off the festivities for 2017.

Rose wears a teeny tiny snowman and pine tree print (a Japanese cotton) dress with French lace trim.

Her embroidered merino wool cardigan is embroidered with classic Christmas colors and clear “icy” seed beads.  Her black bead (Czech glass crystals) buttons mimic the snowmen on her dress.

Rose’s hat features a wide “fur” brim.  It is in red wool with a Christmas green pom pom.  The skinny scarf is also made with the same green wool.

Rose’s ensemble includes Chip (pictured on the left), a needle felted snowman.  She has named him Chip because he is always chipper and ready to take part in holiday festivities.  Chip wears a tiny hand knit red merino/silk elf hat.  The hat’s tassel and his “scarf” are made out of the same yarn as Rose’s scarf and pompom.  His features are seed and Delica beads which are carefully sewn on with needle and thread.

Christmas green cotton tights and a red/green “minty” bracelet complete Rose’s new look.

Hello! And Merry Christmas up and coming!!
I am fairly new to this site, so that is why I am posing this question: How does one go about bidding for an outfit? I know there is a specific time, but is there a specific price or does the highest bid win? I am not going to be bidding on this Christmas outfit, so there isn’t an immediate need for a response. However, I will want to bid in the near future, so any advice will
be appreciated and thanks ahead of time.

This outfit is stunning on Rose. Everything just comes together so well.
Bad me, I bought another dolly. Another Petitcollin Minouche, Eline. Now my Jeanne will have a buddy. Well, that’s my excuse anyway. They are pretty close in size to the LD’s so shoes can be shared. 🙂

Hi, Joy. You are definitely not “bad” giving a poor doll a new home, and a great home at that! Eline will be very happy with her new mom and her new friend, Jeanne. Sharing shoes is always a good thing. Thank you, Joy. I hope you are enjoying the weekend. It’s sleeting here this morning, so very cozy inside.

Hi Cindy, and hello to Rose, nice to meet you! I love the dress print, so festive. The lace trim is adorable hemline. The cardigan is fabulously cute with its embroidery, hello to Chip too, Rose is so creative with his name! I really like the tights, tights are a great fashion accessory for a girl this time of year and so practical. Have a beautiful day Girls, take care Terri xo.

Rose sends a shy “hello” back to you, Terri. Thank you so much for the compliment. It’s always fun to create that “First Ensemble” for a new doll and get to know their unique personality. Rose is very sweet, but a little shy right now. Enjoy the week, Terri! ❤
