A “Rosey Princess”

Gina, my Little Darling, is our “princess of the day” here at Cindy Rice Designs.  She let Lucy go first yesterday, and now it’s her turn to shine.

This is the same print as I used for Lucy’s ensemble.  You saw that one yesterday.  Here’s a photo of both girls together.  I cannot decide which one I like better.  Do you have a preference?

This white sweater was originally made to go with Lucy’s dress, but it ended up looking much prettier with the pinker background.  At one point last week I had both of these ensembles partially made (bits for this one and bits for that one).  It was hard to keep them both straight.

Gina has a Victorian styled flower basket, just like Patience’s.  These baskets hold a little bunch of flowers so nicely.  I think it’s because they are narrower and deeper for the flowers, like a vase would be.

Notice the double tucks at the hemline; it took extra care to keep the scallops lined up.

Lovely girls! That little headband thingy with the pearls is the perfect touch. I do like the growth pleats too. Off for a rainy walk.

      Hi Joy,
And I thought they were merely tucks. Growth pleats, what an ingenious idea! I hope you had a nice walk in the rain yesterday. Thank you.

I can’t say which one I prefer, I love them both!
    Congratulations, these outfits are wonderful!
We had snow today, I don’t like it!
    Have a good afternoon!

      Hello Catherine.
Thank you. I can’t decide either. It’s been snowing here over the last week here also. They say we will see 60°F (15.5°C) this weekend! Hope your snow is melting. Have a great weekend.

      Hi Wendi,
When I started making these last two ensembles it felt too early for spring outfits much less Easter bonnets, not so anymore. Easter is right around the corner and I feel like it will pass me by without an Easter bonnet or Easter basket made. 😦 I’d better get working… Thank you, Wendi.
