“Rose Trellis”

Coming to you from the garden is Gracie, my Kaye Wiggs MSD, to show you something new!

I love “real” roses in this color, so when I saw this fabric . . . I had to purchase a piece to create an outfit with!  The meandering roses on this fabric are in warm red/salmon or warm pink colors and remind me of climbing roses on a trellis.  The background is a two-toned kind of mottled tan color.  I decided to accent this ensemble with crisp white cotton lace, a white cotton/Modal® sweater, and a white bamboo crocheted cap for a cool and crisp summery vibe.

I kept the sweater embroidery in mid-tones—not too dark or bright because there is so much movement in the dress print.

My new vintage looking resin roses were perfectly matched for this ensemble.  I used one for the cap and another for the bracelet.  I had ribbon, a glass heart, and roses in these warm red/salmon/pink shades.  They all look so pretty against pure white.

Oh my goodness! Hello Catherine! I’ve been thinking about you . . . hoping all is well with you. I am so happy to “see” you back!!! Gracie is happy to give you her bouquet, she’s a sweet girl. Thank you for the compliments on her new outfit. We are waking up to rain this morning too. Not sure if France gets high humidity, but here we do. It’s quite sticky out. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

What an eye catcher! The fabric is one of a kind and is beautiful on Gracie. Perfect accessories too. Your photos are so fun. Love seeing the clover in the distance. So glad you saved it for the bees. It’s growing back here, so I may see if we can do the same next cutting time.

Good morning, Joy. Thank you for your sweet compliments on Gracie’s new outfit. I am surely a sucker for fabric. If I love it, I must buy it; I never even consider if I need it or not–which I never do, by the way. Yes, our clover is getting taller. Soon our chihuahua will be swallowed up by it. He carefully walks around it though, too funny. Have a great Sunday!

      Hi Ann,
Thank you! Gracie is blushing with all the attention thrown her way. She is still new at this modeling business, but learning quickly. Have a great Sunday!

      Hi Julia,
Thank you so much! I am way too inspired by too much fabric. I’d like to work 5 times faster than I do, so I can use it all. I love taking photos outside when the weather is nice; the light is beautiful. Hope you’re enjoying your Sunday!

      Hi Becky,
It’s been hot here too, and very humid. It seems like summer comes along so quickly after those few and far between perfect spring days. I appreciate the change though as it keeps life interesting. Thank you for the compliment on my work and for your sweet comment! Have a wonderful summer Sunday!
