“I’m a Santa Helper”, says my Little Darling, Gina. She is indeed wearing all of the jingle bells and whistles to get herself noticed by Santa Claus. Gina even has a tiny present to add to the pile for good little girls and boys.
Gina’s hand knit sweater dress is made from Peruvian Highland wool in winter white. The “fur” trim at the hemline is knit with mohair/silk. The asymmetrical waistline embroidery depicts holly, berries, and blue spruce branches. Of course, Gina cannot help Santa without a Santa hat. This one is in deep red wool with a hand made pom pom, jingle bell, organza bow, and a heart bead decorating the tip of the hat.
The red bell decorations continue on the bracelet, necklace and as a decoration on Gina’s tiny gift.

What a sweet little dress on Gina. I love the design you embroidered around her waistline…it’s so pretty! Her little striped stockings are the perfect touch. I also loved the pictures of Talyssa too… I think they were the prettiest pictures of her ever!!!

Talyssa can take a great picture or a bad picture, probably more bad than great, I’m afraid. I’m having a hard time figuring her out as I’d mentioned over on your blog; maybe I am starting to though… we’ll see.

You’ll find this funny but my issue of Martha Stewart shows knitting in the round with all those needles. I don’t think I will ever get it. Even MS was way beyond me. Oh, I’d better get to polishing the silver, cleaning out 20 bird feeders, and wrapping all of my outdoor pots with burlap for the winter. Whoa is me. I’m so behind.

I always felt the same with all of those needles, but this time it all made sense and the needles knew where to fit comfortably between my fingers to allow me to knit. Don’t give up; one day it may work. However, I find that it does take longer to knit in the round because of the more frequent needle repositioning from hand to hand.
