We’ve had lots of moisture since Thanksgiving, but since it’s been above freezing it has been rain. Last night it fell below freezing, so we are waking up to a winter wonderland. It is truly beautiful, and… my favorite kind of snow, melting.
It’s very cozy and warm inside. Our large Christmas tree is to the left of this photo. This little tree is my “sweets” tree where I hang vintage cookie cutters and yummy looking ornaments.
It’s very timely that I just finished this winter set for my Kaye Wiggs Millie. This set was fun to make, love this color so much, a heathered sky blue. Millie is hanging on tight to her stuffed snowman that I made her. I think she’s afraid she may have to give it up and share with it another little girl.
We often say in Chicago that if you don’t like the current weather, wait 5 minutes and it will change. While this change didn’t happen in 5 minutes, this was yesterday morning.
The snow that we have this morning will be gone very soon, we’re getting warmer.
Have a great day and thank you so much for reading my blog and commenting. I love hearing from you.

Beautiful photos of the snow and birds. Millie’s dress is so pretty, I love the blue with snowflakes. Amelia’s dress was adorable too..
Thank you, Regina. This is such a warm (inside) and cozy time of year. I find that each season has something wonderful to offer us.
Love Millie’s dress…she looks gorgeous in that blue with the red and white accents! Such a sweet look with her snowman and scarf. Another winner. How can you stand to sell these lovely outfits…I’d want to keep them all LOL Your winter photos are wonderful to look at!
Hi Pennie,
Thank you! Millie always seems to pull through and look adorable in whatever I put on her. I’ll see about making Amelia another red Christmas set, hopefully I’ll be able to find more time.
Another fabulous photo! Love the fireside scene and a peek out the window. I always did an art lesson with my 3rd graders about this time. Through the Window! Drawing the frame and what’s outside or looking inside. They were always great.
Millie looks too cute in that light blue number. Perfect for the season.
Thank you, Joy. I love childrens artwork. I volunteered at my daughter’s school years ago, they didn’t have a first grade art teacher. It was a lot of work and I only taught a couple of times a month! Congrats to you for teaching full time. “Through the Window” sounds like an interesting project.
I don’t like snow, but I love watching the birds coming to the feeders! We have many species, but no cardinals!
Millie is beautiful in blue! I love her snowman too!
Have a good afternoon!
Hi Catherine,
You don’t have cardinals either? They look so pretty against the white snow, like a Christmas card. After red and green, this shade of blue (Millie’s dress) is one of my favorites for this time of year. Hope you are having a very nice Thursday. 🙂
What lovely photos Cindy, thank you for sharing them……though sharing the snow through photos is good enough, I don’t need any of the real stuff! 😉
Love your Millie, such a cutie, and her outfit is lovely and perfectly made as usual 🙂
Hugs Sharon x
Hi Sharon,
I’m glad you got your fill of snow through my photos. I don’t mind it if it promptly melts, but unfortuneatly that is usually not the case. This snowfall is almost all melted and we are due for some warmer temps, so happy. I think Millie is one of those dolls who looks great in anything, love her. Thanks, Sharon.
Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing such lovliness 🙂 Very inspiring. Your perfectly scaled sets are always a treat….
Hi Renee and thank you! I appreciate hearing that you enjoy my posts. Hope you have a great day.
