Today was a beautiful fall day! The fall colors seemed oh, so vibrant and probably are at their peak. As I was outside with my camera, I couldn’t help but think about the smoky air from the leaves being burned, the gentle slightly crisp breeze, and the wispy clouds floating in the very blue sky.
Oops, it’s trash day. Sorry about the trash can in the photo.
The feral cat that we feed just finished her breakfast, but was talking to me. She probably wanted more moist food. We always put a dollop of moist food on top of her kibble, which isn’t her favorite. I suspect that the other two or more feral cats around here come around at night and clean up the remaining kibble. This little girl, though, rules the roost, and we’ve heard her putting up a stink when the others come by and she’s around.
Thank you for sharing this beauty!
Hi Orly,
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed them. It is a beautiful time of year around here.
Look at those beautiful beautiful green to gold to red leaves! Awesome!! I love fall colors!
Hello Pennie,
Yesterday was a perfect day to capture all of the fall color. Today it is dark and damp; a great day to stay indoors and create. 🙂 Thank you!
Love your fall color photos. Your feral cat is beautiful. Fun that she talks to you. We feed 2 feral cats, also. Callie and Tom (our kitten, Midnight, was one of their babies. (The others went to other families, including one for my granddaughter.) Then we caught Callie and had her spade. My vet said she was the wildest cat she had ever had for neutering!
Hi Celia,
Boy, does she talk and she’s very feisty! I think our feral cat would be very wild if caught too. She is as feral as they come, I think. She is very careful to keep a distance from us at all times; I could see her going crazy if we somehow got her in the house. There is a feral cat colony down the street. One on those ladies must have had her spayed because the tip of her ear has been clipped. She’s been around our house since we moved in in ’08, so she has to be at least 8 years old. Glad you were able to get yours spayed as they can multiply so quickly.
We too feed cats. So funny how many of us do. Both have other homes but not good. One is very neglected and such a sweet cat. She spends her days in our yard. The other has a family that is very busy. She just likes company. They are both black & white and tolerate each other.
Love your beautiful fall leaves.
Hi Joy,
It’s so hard to see them hungry, isn’t it? Your cats that come around sound friendly. I’ve heard that if they don’t know people as kittens they will never trust us, so it sounds like yours must have had some good experiences with their families as kittens. Thank you for the compliments on my photos.
Thank you for your beautiful photos!
Your cat is very lovely! I feed a feral cat since 12 years! She doesn’t want to come into the house to eat, except when it rains a lot.
Have a good day!
Friendly yours.
Hi Catherine,
I am glad you enjoyed my fall color photos. I enjoyed capturing the colors outside.
It sounds like so many of us cannot stand to see little cats hungry! Yours has been coming around for many years! I am amazed that she will come into your house. She must have had good experiences with people when she was a kitten. Hope you have a nice and sunny weekend, Catherine.
Beautiful photos Cindy! I do miss the colors of fall. So Pretty!
Hi Heather and thank you,
I think I would miss them too. Glad you enjoyed the fall colors through my photos though. This morning it is dark and wet, so I’m glad I got these yesterday. ❤
Cindy, you captured some very nice Fall colors!
Thank you, Sonia. I’m glad you enjoyed them. It was a beautiful morning to go outside with my camera.
HI Cindy,
I always love looking at your “outside” pics…almost as much as I enjoy your doll dresses…
You are an excellent photographer! It’s fun to see what’s happening at the other end of the state and how things are further along than they are down in Southern Illinois.
After being with my sister for a week and seeing how sweet and fun her kitties were, I want one! Yours might not be “yours” but she certainly looks like she belongs to you!
Blessings, Jeanne
Hi Jeanne,
Thank you for the compliments on my photos. Taking pictures of my surroundings helps me to notice and appreciate them more. I am glad you enjoy them too. I wouldn’t mind living a little further south like you do though. Our winters are VERY long which is the worst part for me. For most of my younger years I was a cat person, not a dog person. Your sister has great kitties. If I were to get a cat again I think I would adopt a full grown cat. That way you know what kind of personality you’re getting. Here’s a link to a kitty cam in a cat shelter in Ohio that we used to watch on and off. Years ago, we even sent them little gifts for their kitties. (They open their donations every night on the cam.) It was fun to watch them open what my daughter sent them for the kitties. http://www.ustream.tv/FFRC
